"Changing an appointment"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

I have now attempted to telephone Stepping Hill Dermatology 8 times today to re-arrange an appointment for an older lady I look after. I have left the phone ringing for 4mins 30 seconds(8 times) with no reply and I have tried all numbers. Switchboard told me that to re-arrange the appointment I had to speak to Salford Royal. Rang Salford Royal and they advised me it was a follow up appointment that only stepping hill can sort. Total time to date 40vmins taken up and still not sorted. Disgraceful service.

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, we cannot make dermatology appointments and do not have access to the dermatology appointments system. Dermatology is managed by Salford Royal and they need to make the appointments. We will contact Salford Royal to confirm this and make sure that patients are not receiving inconsistent information.
