"Excellent, excellent, excellent"

About: Royal Surrey County Hospital

Had a follow up 8 weeks after a hip replacement. My appointment was with the consultant of Trauma & Orthopaedics. Location -Outpatients 2 / Fracture Clinic. I was seen on time. The nurse who attended to me was caring and professional, they offered to help with any dressing skills needed. The consultant is charming and professional and obviously cares about their patients. My examination was conducted with dignity and professionalism. They answered all my questions and gave advice on how to continue my recovery. The consultant was pleased with my recovery to date and explained it can take up to a year before the full benefits are felt. I left my appointment feeling confident about my progress and that the way forward was to continue with the given exercises from the Physio department and of course my daily walking regime. I feel my recovery has a lot to do with following the advice given by the surgery team. I am now able to walk 3 miles per day unaided after only 8 weeks pro operation. Thank you all for making my visit stress free and I look forward to my next follow up in 4 months time
