Following my retinal detachment surgery on ward 55 in October last year. I was re admitted to this ward for further surgery on Friday the 8th may 2015. I was a bit dubious about being re admitted to this ward because of a very dissapointing experience I had in October. I was placed on a different section of the ward and I must say the treatment I received was first class. The nurse who looked after me was absolutely fantastic and attentive and supportive and helpful and very efficient in everything that they did. They stayed with me all the time until I fell asleep. And they looked after me when I came round from the anaesthetic . They made what might have been a very traumatic experience very bearable. And I cannot thank this one nurse enough. They actually remembered me from my retinal detachment surgery in oct. all the staff I encountered were very helpful and highly efficient .
