Hello Suse,

Thank you for your feedback. Firstly, please accept our apologies for the delay in responding to your comment posted on Patient Opinion.

I’m sorry to hear that you did not receive an appointment in the timescales required. Unfortunately due to demand for our services outweighing current capacity, there are occasion when we are not always able to offer patients and appointment within the timescales we would ideally like. We are continuously looking at ways in which we can reduce our patient waiting times including opening additional outpatient clinics at Trafford and Altrincham. These new clinics will allow us to see more patients across multiple sites which will help to bring down our waiting times. If you continue to experience delays with your appointments, I would encourage you to get in touch with us and let us know about your concerns. You can contact the Clerical Activity Team on 0161 276 5533 who can provide you updates on scheduling and appointments.

If you then continue to experience delays, you can also contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 0161 276 8686 or by e-mailing pals@cmft.nhs.uk who can assist in liaising with the ophthalmology division to resolve your concern
