What I liked

the nurses were friendly

What could be improved

The A&E toilet was covered in blood, we asked that a cleaner take a look but for the 3 hours we were there no cleaner arrived. I know A&E is a hub of activity but with MRSA and Swine flu shouldnt hospitals be more careful with the cleanliness of the hospitals?

I am sorry to read that you discovered our facilities is a less than satisfactory state. The Accidents and Emergencies department has a dedicated cleaner who is in the department between 7am-3pm and 5pm-11pm seven days a week. Out of these hours there is a rapid response service which can be called upon to tend to any cleaning issues.

I am sorry that the service has fallen down in this case, I have advised the cleaning department of this failing. Thank you for taking the time to inform us of your observations.
