"vulval Cancer"

About: Rosie Hospital

in 2001 I was treated for vulval cancer at The Rosie after having been treated at a different hospital in Bedfordshire. I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment with my husband and daughter. I was called in at the exact time of my appointment and my family were made as welcome as I was. I had a local anaesthetic and we were all able to watch the treatment on a screen. I felt no pain and was very, very impressed by the knowledge and caring way of the surgeon and all those involved in the treatment. It's now 2015 and, once again, there's a possibility of more cancer. But instead of feeling fear,I am 100% sure that, whatever the outcome,I shall be treated with the utmost respect and care and gentleness.
