About: St Helier Hospital

I believe many of your staff look at patients age - he complains food is out out if reach - which I doubt but the care and attention is very limited - I know you do a hard job - he complains of being left for 2 hours waiting - for example to be changed! As relatives if others have commented - yesterday I rang at 1920 to be informed it was handover - ok - called back at 2000 and the nurse kindly walk to his bed but he was too tired / confused - to day I phoned at 1940 asked if in handover told yes so I called back at 2000 to be told Ring back in 1 hour due to handover - really he will be fast asleep! Please have someone to deal with calls to lover ones during handovers. Thanks Colin

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry that you’ve found contacting your loved one so frustrating. Thank you very much for raising this important point – we’ll pass this on to our Chief Nurse and look into ways we can improve communication between patients and loved ones.
