My first ever surgery was the most horrific experience I have ever encountered at Leigh and I most definitely would not recommend it to anyone!!! One nurse in particular was very rude towards me spoke in an abrupt manner and shouted at me just as I was going under anaesthetic. I was terrified and never felt so alone in a room full of people!!! I suggest that all staff think about the NHS Values and the mission statement as I had the complete opposite experience. Nurses that are not supportive or compassionate should not be doing that job! "Everyone has greater control of their health and their wellbeing, supported to live longer, healthier lives by high quality health and care services that are compassionate, inclusive and constantly-improving."
