"over booking of appointments in outpatients"

About: East Surrey Hospital

Friday 8th May 2015. Appointment for 10.45 at Rheumatology clinic, arrived at 9.45, 11.45 still waiting, complained to nurse who said they were running 60-90 mins late because of overbooking by appointments dept and a lot of people had been given the same appointment time.

Dear Mr Rose,

I am sorry to hear of the delay you experienced with your outpatient appointment. We try as far as possible to run clinics on time and usually will only overbook these clinics at the instruction of the Clinician, to accommodate urgent referrals. Do please accept our apologies for your wait.
