My daughter took herself to hospital as she had started to have labour pains. She was kept in on the triage labour ward, not too impressed with the service offered there, but it was extremely busy, but things did get better once she was taken to the labour ward with a wonderful midwife who was on the ball and kept me up to date with what was happening. The staff did all they can to help my daughter, a very traumatic birth followed, but there were so many staff at hand and thankfully, my beautiful grandson was delivered safely. My daughter received wonderful care throughout her stay on the maternity ward, as did my grandson. Cannot fault the maternity ward, they do deserve high praise with the care my daughter and grandson received. I would highly recommend the maternity unit at Princess Royal, they do a wonderful job and the staff I met during her stay were very professional and helpful.
