"De La Mare Ward a place where time stands still"

They ask you to tell of your experience of staying in hospitial to help care for the next patient l think puting a x in a box is not telling anyone what it is realiy like from a patient view . l had a anterior wedge fracture in a nut shell that means I had crushed the L1 vertebra by 55% and done some nerve damage on the way and had a bleed on the brain. morphine and other meds kept me going. 3 days notice and was in hospitial at 7 30 am a 5 min walk to de la ward was near on 15 min on crutches . Got to 5th floor have to admit l looked and felt like something the cat did not bother to dag in not worth it. Haveing been in a fair few hopitals bracking my back was the last to do to make a full set of bones done so have a lot off experience on the way things work at lest l trhought l did until De La Mare Ward. the only words that come to mind are like 5 star spa, herley st and the like.the. Staff sisters and there amazing teams are with you 24/7 from the start they make you feel relaxed. and your in good hands. Feel like getting up to try walking do it they may have othey jobs to do but you can be sure one is near by keeping a eye on you if you try to hard they know it and step in need to rest after op fine they say when your ready no rush to do anything seems to be the word on the ward but if patinent needs care then it's like bees to honey they on to it always with a smile The old joke of have a pain take paracetamol still have pain take more not there they get you what's best for you, feel hugny they will get something 4 am drip in arm tea and tost.in hand Sisters door is always open if you need her. l will not say keep up the good work that's like telling master cook how to cook.
