I have been an out patient at The Christie since Nov 2013 following my diagnosis of breast cancer, followed by secondary Breast cancer in the bones a month later. I have had 18 weeks of chemotherapy and still attend every 3 weeks for maintenance treatment, which is keeping the disease stable. I have nothing but respect, admiration & gratitude for all the staff that I see, from the blood room, the receptionists, the doctors, the BCNs, the nurses on the chemo ward, to the Housekeeper. Every last one of them has done something to make my time at The Christie better. It's never easy for anyone suffering with cancer, but I wouldn't want to be treated anywhere else. It's become a home from home to me now. They are sensitive, caring, honest, helpful people who always have smiles on their faces. It makes a huge difference to someone like me, when they know your name, and can greet you accordingly. A truly wonderful place.
