Mum was admitted to Liskeard from Derriford after a diagnosis of terminal cancer with "weeks to live rather than months". She lived for 11 weeks, all spent in Willow Ward. A ward led very ably by the ward Management and senior sister. Mum received excellent care in a ward with a very positive and cheerful environment. Staff work hard but are clearly committed and enjoy their work. Staff were very helpful to us as a family allowing us to visit anytime day or night. They also prepared us for the final stages and what to expect. her pain was very well managed but she was never given so much that she didn't know where she was. The care and nursing particularly with personal hygiene and cleanliness was done to a high standard and dignity for the patient. We were very impressed by the excellent care that mum received, we don't really know how it could be bettered.
