"No discussion/information"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

My baby was in the NICU and was given a lumbar puncture without any discussion with us as parents. We found out about the procedure after it had been performed and were never told why this procedure was deemed necessary or what it ultimately revealed about our son. Several mistakes were also made in my child's discharge notes.

I’m very concerned to hear that you were not informed of the procedure for your son before it took place. I would like to make sure that is investigated thoroughly. Please can you contact me through our PALS team on 01708 435 454 or email PALS@bhrhospitals.nhs.uk Yours sincerely Wendy Matthews Interim Chief Nurse
