I was due for a colonoscopy at 10.30 am today but received a call just as we were getting ready to leave, saying they were having trouble with some equipment and would I mind delaying my appointment to 2 pm. When we arrived I was seen straight away and I have to say that not only was everyone apologetic for the delay, but they were also so friendly yet extremely efficient. The colonoscopy itself was nothing to be frightened of. Yes, a little uncomfortable at times, but nothing worse than, say, a wind pain. I opted for a sedative, which I would recommend to anybody who is a bit nervous (and who isn't?) I didn't sleep but was just pleasantly stoned, yet able to watch the procedure on screen - fascinating. I even had a couple of polyps removed (didn't feel a thing). Thank you doctor and all your nurses, for a very pleasant stay. :) In my opinion, the worse part of it all is having to drink the Moviprep the day before!
