"Parking Madness"

About: Hemel Hempstead Hospital

I have just returned from the Orthopaedic Clinic at Hemel Hospital and I cannot for the life me understand why by the very nature of the clinic would make people (some on crutches) walk quite some distance and on a hill to get from the car park to the clinic. There is no parking anywhere near this clinic. I have arthritis in both knees and I found it really difficult to walk the distance. While I was there several other people (some in wheelchairs) were also complaining about this. Why is this department not in the main body of the hospital and not stuck out in a 'wing' on Hillfield Road. Whoever thought this was a good idea obviously does not have any idea what its like to have a painful disability otherwise this situation would not happen?
