About: Grantham & District Hospital

Arrived over May Bank Holiday weekend at about 11.30 am and it was reasonably busy although became busier later. Stated 2 hour wait non the board Good aspects: Reception prioritised bookings which was fine. Businesslike. Saw the nurse after a reasonable time, friendly and efficient. Apologised for the delay. Ambulance side was apparently busy which had higher priority cases, which is understandable. Basic tests and referral to Doctor. Did not feel rushed. Doctor friendly and efficient too. Not feel rushed. Referred for Xray X Ray just round the corner. No wait at all. Again friendly. Recalled to Doctor and nurse appeared as if by magic to strap injury. I did wonder how many people could have been seen by minor injuries units which would free up A and E? Overall - Very co ordinated and seemed to prioritise well with the variety of ailments, children seen quickly. You are doing a great job everyone, well done and thank you.
