"Cardiac investigations unit"

About: Charing Cross Hospital

I had 3 appointments first was at 12,15 I arrived at 12pm. The receptionist greeted me with a welcoming smile they sorted each appointment, I sat down was called soon after for an ECG. The nurse was very polite and explained the procedure, gave me a gown and left me to have a bit of privacy and dignity. When it finished they let the next nurse know I was ready. Once again sat for about 5mins as another patient was just finnishing. Again very polite I was asked to step on a treadmill. The nurses were very encouraging, when I was getting out of breath and feeling like I wanted to stop they encouraged me to carry on which I did, once again they asked me to sit and wait while they let the next nurse know I was waiting to have a Holter fitted, didn't wait long once again very polite nurse, you could defenetley sence the team work among all the staff in that department. Plus it was very calm atmosphere,I had finished all my appointment's by 1:30pm, I did ask the receptionist for a feedback form, they didn't have any on the desk and directed me to pals on the ground floor'. May i surgest you have simple leaflet's on the desk as there are alot of elderly people who attended that unit and don't have accses to the internet. thank you for turning what could have been a stressful experience into a calm reasurring one thanks to all the staff in that unit Yours sincerly Iris Lewis-Lyons
