my daughter is currently on Elsdon ward after a miscarriage so much has gone wrong with her care on this ward so far that I have many discussions with senior staff about our concerns and advised staff that I will be making a formal complaint. and now the level of care has fallen to a dangerous level. One doctor advised she stays on the ward until her pain is under control and she would be able to have an MRI scan done on Tuesday following the bank holiday.tonight a new doctor has seen her saying they have discussed the case with their senior and on health grounds advised her she will not be having the scan.when questioned about the health risks the doctor said exposure to radiation could cause a cancer risk later in life.and implying that this was quite a high risk. The NHS web site states "MRI scans are painless and safe as no radiation is used and is one of the safest procedures currently available.what kind of doctor would say such a sick thing to a patient grieving a lost baby and in such extreme pain after the termination.this was said in front of five witnesses.I do actually fear for my daughters safety.Again I have tried to make our concerns heard but nobody is available to help.
