"Ridiculous"

My girlfriend was rushed to the Crawley 'urgent' care unit, she was suffering from an allergic reaction to an unknown entity, and also had a stabbing pain in the chest, and shortness of breathe, the paramedic was lovely and very cooperative, and we wish we had stayed with them, because we sat in the waiting room for 1 hour and a half before I eventually went the receptionist, and politely asked how long it would be before we were seen.. Baring in mind the pains hadn't gone and the signs of allergic reaction were still visible, the receptionist rudely and bluntly said she wasn't a priority... And said yes as you can see there is a sign saying a possible wait of 2 and a half hours, and that they were putting priorities before my partner.. I said that she is suffering from an allergic reaction and has a sharp pain in her chest.. I fail to see how a priority over this is someone complaining about a cough or a head ache, I'm not impressed with the whole experience and wonder how the system is still this way in the 21st century.
