About: Medway Maritime Hospital

The mental health team that are supposed to help in an emergency or acute situation simply refer you to Canada House. and what does Canada House do? Refer you to A and E acute mental health team! In short there is no treatment available at all from the crisis team at the hospital they just pass the buck to Canada House. My daughter has currently suicidal tendencies and is self harming. she can become very aggressive. She should be sectioned and yet this is not an available option. there is no inhouse staying department at all and so no real help is possible. the nearest unit is at Dartford but she has to go to Medway. Useless! You do not even give me the option of a mental health department on you questionnaire so I had to put 'don't know'
