"Care in princess Anne ward"

My mother was admitted to princess Anne ward after being admitted through a&e. The care my mother received was fantastic. They were not only attentive to my mother but me too with my concerns. I had to leave my mother in their care while I travelled abroad for work & was extremely anxious & concerned for her return to home alone. The social care team kicked in before I left with all details. I had contact with a nurse who I contacted while overseas for updates and I can only say was brilliant. The doctor was a real professional & said they were aware my mum had been admitted a few times & they would get to the bottom of the cause. Well they did and again I can't thank them enough for calling me overseas with news. My previous experiences of Southend hospital wards were not good but this ward in particular was outstanding. Staff actually asking you 'can I help you' unknown previously, you had to demand to be seen in other wards. I think some of the other wards can learn a thing or two from princess Anne ward.
