"Operation cancelled"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

I was booked in for a hysterectomy next week. It has now not only been cancelled but I also have to go with a different consultant who can try and fit me in somewhere due to my consultant retiring. I have to wait another 7 weeks for my op. This now only leaves 7 week to my holiday which has me a bit worried. As an employee of the nhs I feel devastated and extremely let down. I understand that urgent cases do happen that need to be seen but I feel an additional 7 wk wait is far to long. I now have to cope with the severe heavy bleeding and pain for even longer. I'm so upset. Everything had been sorted with regards childcare and my job.
