"Disabled parking bays"

About: King's Mill Hospital

I have an appointment next month in Clinic 5. I went onto the Kings Mill website to locate the whereabouts of the disabled parking bays. The website clearly states there is disabled parking but doesn't tell you where it is (or if it does, I couldn't find the information). I sent an email to 'PALS' asking the question. They very promptly telephoned me to advise me that the disabled parking bays are through the barrier in the main car park! I cannot walk the distance from the car park to the main Clinic Entrance! On the basis that a Blue Badge is issued automatically if you receive the higher rate of mobility on PIPS. The main criteria for achieving that is the fact you cannot walk 20 metres unaided! The Car Park is more than 20 metres from the main entrance. Bearing in mind this hospital has only quite recently been re:built there is a sad lack of forethought in the planning in not having disabled parking bays that can actually be of use to disabled people. There should be disabled parking bays closer to the main entrance! Due to now not being able to use my own transport (due to the disabled parking bays not being close enough to the main entrance) to attend my appointment I again went onto the Kings Mill website to attempt to obtain details and contact numbers to arrange hospital transport. As with my experience on the website trying to find the disabled parking bay information, I cannot seem to find any information to assist me in arranging the said transport! Did the same person making the ridiculous decision on the placement of the disabled parking bays also design your website?
