I spent 7 days in the neuroscience ward, wired up. The adult telemetry team leader was an absolute star. They went above and beyond the call of duty for me. I had no visitors, apart from the Saturday and as I was unable to leave the room, they fetched me DVD's to watch, odd cups of tea, then shampoo, conditoner and a hairdrier on the last day, for me to sort my hair out. There where plenty of staff on the ward and if I needed someone they came asap, this was without me pushing the button on the telemetry box. When I had my seizures, one of the nurses in particular was on the ball and stopped me going into a full blown seizure. The staff who bring the food and drinks where friendly and had a chat. You can see the helipad from the room. If you are going in for the video telemetry dont worry or fear, you are in safe hands, it isnt painful, just a tad boring, but the staff do there best to help pass the time when they can.
