i have been a patient at qeqm before when i was giving birth and had a bad experince i vowed i wouldnt go there again after been left 3days without food. how ever my son had an accident which involved an internal wound a woodern stake went through the roof of his mouth so we rushed him to qeqm as it was the closest. not only was he left waiting for ages but other patients who could walk talk and even laugh and joke about were being put through before him. considering he is only just turned to was his wound was pouring blood he should of been rushed through. luckly my dad [his grandad] was with me and knew what to do being a practising nurse, prevented the wound becoming serious untill he was finaly seen and that was only by triage. the receptionist was very rude and ignorant and im afraid to say i would never recomend this hospital to anyone. not only are the staff incompentant but also niave. it is rediculus that a just turned 2 yr old with a very seroius wound had to wait 2hours just to be assesed by a triage and than wait a further hour n half till a docter to cum round and didnt even know anything as nothing had been put on his notes.
