I was booked in for a hernia repair in April, I arrived early morning and greeted by the receptionist, and explained where I had too wait, one of the nurses came through and asked for are names, we were then shown to are bay.
I was seen by one of the nurses who introduce herself I think it was Jane, went through my details and reassuring that I knew what the procedure I was in for.
I then met Mr Pore and Mr Thomaz, who went through the procedure and explained about the operation. I then met the anaesthetist who explained the procedure with the anaesthetic etc.
Taken down to theatre the staff were excellent, I next remember waking up in recovery they explained that the operation had taken 2 hours, but all had gone well.
I then met Mr Pore and Mr tomaz, he explained about the operation etc, then I was on the way back to the day ward, the nurses were brilliant as I wasn't feeling well after the anaesthetic, but there care was phenominal. I had to stay in until 6. 30, but they made me a cup of tea and went through the tablets etc, I did personally thank them for looking after me.
"The care was phenomenal"
