"A new lease of life from Warwick Hospital"

About: Warwick Hospital

In the media at the moment all you hear is that the NHS is in crisis. Well in my experience I have nothing but praise and gratitude for the treatment I have received on the NHS at Warwick Hospital. In the last 18 months I have had a partial knee replacement, a full hip replacement and a plate and pins fitted to repair a badly broken arm. In each case I was treated with respect and compassion and my treatment was fully explained to me and all my questions answered. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Nothing was too much trouble. Both the knee and hip replacements were planned. Each stage ran like clockwork - the pre op class, the operations, my one night stays in hospital, the visits at home from the SWATT team, the physio afterwards....everything went smoothly and now I am completely free from pain and can walk distances I have only dreamed of for the last few years. People I have spoken to who have had similar operations in different hospitals haven't always had the same positive experiences or outcomes so, although I would never say that having a joint replaced is a pleasant experience, if you have to have it done I would thoroughly recommend having it done at Warwick Hospital
