"Oncology visits"

About: Lincoln County Hospital

I've just had my second visit to oncology prior to my first chemo later this week, neither appointment was necessary, on both occasions any questions could have been answered by phone and since there was no examination it would have saved me a 2 hour drive and the parking fee, this is not a complaint it's just an observation, please understand dealing with cancer is stressful enough why pile on the agony with an unnecessary stressful 2 hour drive then add further insult with a parking fee, just try thinking of the patient first. When you ask "which department did I visit" why does it not list oncology?

Dear cancer patient

Thank you for your comments. It is always good to receive feedback on the service we provide, so that we are aware of our patient’s experience.

I am sorry to hear that you feel that you have had 2 unnecessary visits to the hospital. I understand how stressful this must have been.

I would be very grateful of you could contact me via switchboard on 01522 512512 and ask them to bleep me as I would like to fully understand what occurred and discuss your parking fees, as you should not have had to pay these.

Many thanks,

Marie
