About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

would like to to give praise to all the staff on d41 who cares for my grandad in his final days and let him go with dignity. They worked as a team and did very well in providing good care to my grandad using the staff (very few compared to the number of patients) which they have. The health care assistants were excellent, they seemed to give the most patient care and they actually did care and went above and beyond their role I can't thank them enough.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of the care your late grandfather received from Ward D41. It was very kind of you to do so, particularly at what must still be a very difficult time for you. Ensuring compassionate care, respect and dignity is extremely important when looking after someone coming towards the end of their life and we will ensure your comments are shared with the ward team who will appreciate that their efforts have meant so much to you.
