What could be improved

My sister is an out-patient following a knee reconstruction and at a recent visit had to walk to exhaustion before seeing the consultant. When I asked about the availability of wheelchairs in an e-mail, the following was her reply :- Wheelchairs now that's a laugh.

Ambulance men were bringing oldies in on wheelchairs, they were then transferred to an ordinary chair, the ambulance men then went off with their wheelchairs.

When it came time for the oldies to go in and see the doctor they had no way of walking in there, the nurses managed to find a zimmer frame for one, they then went to casualty and borrowed a wheelchair, they then borrowed a wheelchair, which was a patient's own one.
