"Long waiting time for day case keyhole surgery."

1 My operation was planned for 17th Feb, but was cancelled after the pre med so my heart beat could be monitored over 24 hrs. This was fitted on 20th March. I heard nothing more until I called on 13th April to find out what was happening. I was told that the earliest date for my postponed operation would be 11th July, as it could not be done if I was flying one month before and one month after an operation ( I have not had this in writing yet). I have a holiday booked for 3rd June to 10th June which had been booked last year. Can this exclusion period really be correct. This will mean I have been waiting 7 months or so since I first saw the consultant surgeon. Any comments would be welcome.
