About: Leighton Hospital

Excellent and efficient service to fit me with a new Phonak CROS aid. I am once again able to pick up noises from both sides, after many years of single sided deafness due to acoustic neuroma removal and additional hearing loss due to head injury. My original CROS aid which was fitted back in 1997 was huge in comparison. The staff are friendly, supportive and take the time to provide as much information as possible. They are very aware of the types of problems encountered and how exhausting it can be trying to cope with deafness. There is a wonderful follow up service, where any adjustments can be made and more questions answered. To add to all this, a new support group has just been set up for acoustic neuroma and single sided deafness patient. A big thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to give feedback about our service. We are delighted that you have gained so much benefit from your Phonak CROS aid, had such a positive experience of care and are reaping the benefits from the support group for single sided deafness, which was incidentally instigated by one of our patients. I am delighted to share your comments with the team. Thanks again Kath Woolley Head of Audiology
