"Worse patient management system than NHS"

About: London Independent Hospital

I went to this hospital for a facet joint injection. I was advised to report at 9am with at least 6hrs fasting (no food and no drinks). Unfortunately I had not been seen till 12pm. I got headache and my BP went down due to 14hrs fasting. I asked the nurse and the receptionist when I would be seen by the consultant. They only answer all the administrative staff know is 'your consultant will tell you when your turn will come up.' I lost my physical and mental fitness to receive any proceudre after 12pm and I decided to leave the ward. I went to the main reception to put my complaint to the management. They told me that the ED was not on that day and the all other managerial staff were out for meeting. They didn't know when they would back to the hospital. They took me to the switchboard operator. What a fun it was! It seemed to me that I was neglected because of being referred by NHS. Finally they gave me the email ID and name of the ED to put my complaint. I emailed to the ED on 21/04/15. Unfortunately I haven't heard anything from them till today. My questions are - - How a consultant can expect that a patient would be ready to undergo a procedure after 14hrs of fasting, having no food and drink? - Are they not putting the patient in phychological pressure keep them in waiting for 3 - 4 hours wearing the gown and contume? - Why there was no access to the senior management for patient's feedback? In conclusion, I would say it is a Private hospital providing worse services than NHS.
