We were asked to attend a Sleep EEG with my son who suffers with CP and Epilepsy, after depriving him of sleep the night before. Ideally, he was to have slept for the EEG, but unfortunately he didn't. We were told in writing that in this case, a sedative would be given. The specialist carrying out the tests informed us that the consultant didn't prescribe the sedative and could therefore not be given. The night of little sleep and day were a total waste of out time and very disruptive to our home life.
"Consultant woe"
