I cannot fault the care that I have received since being diagnosed with OAG in 2012. The care and treatment I have been given has been second to none. My consultant is always polite and caring and explains the pros and cons of any changes in medication or possible surgery. The staff are caring and explain if there is a backlog of patients and the wait might be a little longer, as with every hospital this can't be helped. I had surgery in February 2015. My consultant spoke to me about the surgery on the morning and put my mind at rest as did the anaesthetist. The nurses were caring and professional. My surgery went well as did my recovery. The only drawback for me, is the hospital building itself especially the Kendrick wing waiting area, as this is in need of some modernisation (it gets exceptionally hot in there in the summer). I know this is down to funding so it doesn't put me off, as I would sooner be a patient here as the service I have received to date has been exceptional.
