"Paediatric trauma injury"

About: Kettering General Hospital

I cannot speak highly enough of the staff at Kettering following my childs sporting injury resulting in a trip to A&E and emergency surgery. A&E took some time; but then sitting waiting anywhere seems to take forever! Especially when you have an injured child to worry about! The staff were friendly and helpful and offered us reassyrance refreshments and kept us informed all the way along. The surgeon and anaesthetist came to see us, were informative and helped us feel (a little bit) calmer prior to the little one going down to theatre. The Surgery went wonderfully, the recovery nurses were fabulous , the skylark staff were fabulous, the facilities on the children's ward were fresh and modern and made a really quite horrid time bearable. My child actually enjoyed the stay - played play station and was relaxed and well cared for throughout. Thank you is all u can say !

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your positive comments with us. It is wonderful to hear that your child received friendly and supportive care whilst receiving treatment in different departments at KGH for a sporting injury. Your comments have been shared with the departments who cared for your child and we hope they are making a full recovery.
