What I liked

Day surgery staff

Theatre staff were excellent even though most of what was explained to me never/hasn't happened ie plaster cast for up to 4wks after outpatient appointment, painkillers & anti-inflam which I was never prescribed

What could be improved

Better non-conflicting information would have been appreciated along with better time keeping

The offer of some aftercare advice would have been apreciated as I have been left feeling vunerable & a bit scared

Parking is awful

Anything else?

My appointment was for 9:30am but my operation did not take place until 4pm, I finally left the hospital at 10pm without any backup info as the nurse was due off shift at 9:45pm & this was more important her than my care,although it was suggested that I be moved to a ward for the night but I refused

The theatre staff were wonderful & I thank them

The operation was to repair a broken wrist but now after an outpatient appointment I have an unsupported wrist that is swollen, painful & unuseable

Both the radius & ulna were broken but the ulna appears to be forgotten only the surgery on the radius is important to them

I have been left totally to my own devices not even a phone no. in case

I would not choose to attend this hospital
