I hope I can put in writing my experience today, I'll try. I only visited the hospital to have some bloods taken. When I entered through the revolving doors I was greeted by a feeling of walking into a small community. A friendly place that felt busy but calm. It wasn't like walking into a hospital ( and I've been to a few!). There were meet and greet volunteers who kindly give up their time but are always happy to help. There were places you could eat or purchase food stuffs. A little something for everyone. It looked clean and fresh, light and airy. I feel all too often we are happy to complain & moan. Why shouldn't we take the time when we have a lovely positive experience, to share that news too. Although my only critisiism is the lack of car spaces. The hospital itself offers a pleasant experience on the arrival in the main entrance. Well Done to all involved in making the Royal Derby a great place to go even at what can be a most trying and difficult time.
"A lovely welcoming environment"
