"Unable to get appointment at Westmoreland GP Surgery"

I have been trying to book an appointment via phone at Westmoreland GP Centre now for over 2 weeks.

I have tried 9 times over this period and have been successful twice in actually speaking to the receptionist. On both occasions I have been informed that unless I request an emergency appointment they have nothing to offer me and ask me to phone back the next morning to see if there are any cancellations, I do try to do this of course but cannot get through. There is no other way of contacting them.

The NHS advises patients to access care via their GP to help with pressures on A+E and Walk in centres which I fully agree with. But, to date I have been unsuccessful and I have had a cough now for 8 weeks.
