"Breast cancer journey"

I have nothing but praise for the care I received whilst being treated for breast cancer last year. All the staff were kind and professional. I was seen extremely promptly, and on several occasions was telephoned at home to speed up this process. There is not one area which could have been done better, from referral, consultations, clinical investigations, surgery and follow-up. (I was seen at Southend Hospital for the chemotherapy and radiotherapy, but my oncology consultant appointments were at Basildon.) I am an ex-member of staff and have always had faith in "my" hospital. This is even more so now that I have experienced things "from the other side".
