What could be improved

I was in the maternity department to have my son. My first and only child. I requested straight away to have an epidural. I was told I did not need it my my baby would arrive soon. I trusted the midwife. 6 hours later I was stressed, crying, in pain and no baby, stirrups were used and at one point several people were in the room who I did not know and was not consulted of. I was told to stop wailing by a female doctor. Thankfully my son arrived before forceps were used.

Anything else?

The Midwives did not care about what I requested. I should not have been talked out of what I wanted and should have been given it with no questions, I feel let down, humiliated and I am deeply traumatized. This has put me off having any more children. Wexham park hospitals should be ashamed. i do not recommend this hospital.
