"yawning at noon"

About: Circle-Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre

- was referred and seen by a consultant today. Found them friendly and thorough. I was pleased to note they must have found my presence quite calming as they twice leaned back, with arms folded behind head and closed their eyes :-). I saw them at 12noon, so the occasional yawn must have been due to it being a hard morning? Nursing staff and organisation of the place the usual over-organised bureaucracy in a pretentious and costly building. However, organisation was good when I phoned ahead to move appointment as public transport was delayed. On the other hand, when I had previously phoned, the telephone staff in that dept. did not even know the word chaperone, let alone the service was provided. Only found out when in the waiting area. Gave it a miss and felt ok with the Doc, not patronised, not interrupted. So that's something. :-)

Thank you for sharing your feedback. The staff in Gateway E were delighted to know that you were happy with your consultation. Your comments regarding staffs' lack of awareness of the available chaperone service have been considered and the department will ensure that all administration staff are aware of this service and able to advise patients if they query this.
