Following a referral by my GP I was diagnosed as having an erratic heartbeat and that a pacemaker was recommended. Accordingly, within just a few days I was admitted to the Cardiac Unit, the pacemaker inserted and I was discharged the following day. It's early days yet, but I am making a good recovery, feeling much better, with my pulse a steady 60. I have my life back! I cannot praise the staff of the Cardiac Unit too highly for their professional expertise, care and courtesy during my short stay and also the fact that I was treated so quickly. 'Vive the NHS'
