"Once taken onto Ward E2 everything ..."

What I liked

Once taken onto Ward E2 everything went smoothly and relatively quickly. Everyone involved with E2 the nursing staff, domestic staff, porters, caterers etc all went about their work with a smile and conducted themselves in a very professional manner.There was a moment or two during the night when one particular patient was being abusive to the staff, but still the staff handled the situation well and with dignity.

What could be improved

I attended QA for a double Angioplasty 16 Jun 09 after I presented my self to E2 at 08.00 the next time I was spoken to be a member of staff it was gone 11.00. Patients need to be kept informed of delays even if its just to be told there's no change, the human touch.

Anything else?

Well done to the girls down at Radiology where my procedure took place. I was the last on the list and instead of having to wait until there were porters available to take me back to the Ward they volunteered themselves and got me back safe and sound. Please pass on my gratitude to all involved on Ward E2.
