"A&E"

A&E staff were excellent when I came in 14 weeks ago with a broken humerous. Unfortunately it went downhill after leaving A&E the nurse said I should expect to be kept for a operation on such a break however the doctors looked at the X Ray & decided to put it in a cast. This was on the same day the hospital was on the local news unable to do operations because of no beds. I couldn't have morphine because there was no bed the nurse had said. It's now 14 weeks on & I had a CT scan 3 days ago to see why I still can't lift my arm. Why it's not healing on one side. I'm still waiting for the results. Not sure how long it takes to get an appointment for the results. The pain is bad today. Most days I can just about cope with the medication I'm on. My husband wrote to the hospital asking that they please do the operation on me so I could heal quicker. I was told they wouldn't operate because this would heal on its own. And it's better as id be at risk of infection. I'm very worried & hope it was the right decision.
