"Kindness itself"

About: Leighton Hospital

Unfortunately I broke my shoulder whilst enjoying a weekend in Belfast. I was taken by ambulance to hospital there and X-rays were taken and I was given painkillers. They gave me a letter and said I should attend my local A&E on my return home and assured me that my X-rays would be available online. We duly flew home and attended A&E at Leighton Hospital where the receptionist took my letter and showed it to a Consultant who took me through to a cubicle and was kindness itself. Sadly they were unable to access my Belfast X-rays so I had further X-rays taken. Yet again I experienced great kindness. The Consultant arranged an appointment in the fracture clinic for the following day where, again I was looked after splendidly. All too often one only hears negative comments about the NHS but I cannot fault the care I received. Thank you to everyone concerned.
