"Many things incorrect and annoying during my stay"

About: Royal Gwent Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I was admitted to hospital in March at two weeks over my due date. I was placed on B4, where there are no words for the service given on this ward. Not only did the staff who treated me seem clueless, helpless and the change over staff was ridiculous.

There are many things which were incorrect and annoying whilst on this ward, I had the wrong patients notes at the end of my bed: and my medication was wrote in someone else's documents. Staff weren't handed over properly and the night staff didn't insert my second pessary at 1am because 'they were too busy'. At 1: 30am on the Friday I used my buzzer for some fresh water at 6: 15am the water arrived. The following day I was told that they were clueless that the induction process had began because they hadn't documented it, and a very rude nurse approached me at 42+2 and stated because I was so far over I was likely to have a still birth. Which I believe is very unprofessional and disgusting behaviour.

In the four days I was on ward B4 I not once had my bed linen changed and was continuously told contradicting information.

It is important for me to state that when I was moved to Labour Ward, and B5. There are no complaints the staff, the affection and the care provided was outstanding and very professional. Although the staff work hard, it is clear information isn't clearly passed on. This is unacceptable for NHS.
