What could be improved

Everything! I waited 9 hours in an uncomfortable waiting room to go to theatre for what should have been a day case. I ended up staying overnight on a surgical ward as no orthopedic beds available. Nurses were unable to give me crutches as they were not trained to show me how to use them! Waited all the next day for doctor to see me to discharge me, never arrived eventually allowed to go home without knowing exactly what had been done to me as no one could read the doctors writing. Appauling in every respect.

Anything else?

No communication to patients or between doctors and nurses. Very short staffed and although nurses tried their best there was no overall control or management in place. The same level of service affected many other patients too.
