"Memory Assessment Service for Mansfield and Ashfield"

Attended first appointment for the Memory Assessment Service at Ashfield Community Hospital.

We found it a little difficult to locate the clinic at first as although we had directions on our letter I don't think we read them properly and the signs for MAS were not in the right places for us to follow.

The service we received was friendly and helpful and gentle. We were made to feel comfortable about the whole process which could have been stressful.

We have noted that you find it difficult to locate the clinic within the hospital. We will take the time to review the signage and directions and hopefully this will make it easier for the future.

We have considered that at times it is difficult to locate where the service is within the Ashfield Health Village. As a result we have firstly highlighted the venue of the appointment on the appointment letter so that this can clearly be seen. We have ensured that there are detailed instructions on how to find us on the bottom of the letter.

We have also altered our signage to read Memory Assessment Service rather than MAS and have liaised with the hospital who have now confirmed that we can place more of our signs around the hospital to guide people to our location.

We hope that this will be more helpful and are always open to suggestions on how we can change things to make it easier for others.

We will continue to review the situation.
